Choosing the right clothing manufacturer
All Surreal clothing is exclusively produced by the Belgian manufacturer Stanley/Stella, a renowned company specialising in sustainable and ethically produced garments. Their dedication to utilising organic and eco-friendly materials in their clothing collections is well-known. Notably, the company places a strong emphasis on promoting fair and safe working conditions within their production facilities, while also striving to maintain a positive environmental impact throughout their entire supply chain.
Sustainability
At Stanley/Stella, sustainability is a fundamental aspect of their core values and is fully integrated into their business culture. They firmly believe in the possibility of a fairer and more sustainable fashion industry and recognise it as their shared responsibility to continually enhance how they create and operate. From the cotton field to their collection and waste management practices, their objective is always to operate with transparency, keeping in mind the well-being of people, the planet, and society.
Caring about people
At Stanley/Stella, fair and safe working conditions, and well-being in the workplace are at the heart of their operations and organization.
In their Brussels headquarters and local liaison offices, they have implemented a number of mechanisms to promote well-being and ensure a good and motivating working environment for all those involved in bringing their collections to life.
On top of this, they work closely with their partner factories to improve working conditions in line with their Fair Wear Foundation membership, and they strive to ensure worker remuneration that is more in line with a living wage.
Finally, as they believe it is their duty to support the local communities that are part of their ecosystem, they have initiated various projects to make their commitments even more concrete.
A responsible supply chain
From sourcing sustainable raw materials to working with a committed network of Official Dealers who share Stanley/Stella's values, the company strives to have a positive impact at every step of their journey.
They select the most eco-friendly raw materials. Across their collections, they use GOTS certified organic cotton as well as GRS certified recycled cotton, GRS certified recycled polyester, and GRS certified recycled nylon.
They collaborate with state-of-the-art factories for their production. Their nine partner suppliers in Bangladesh and one in China are GOTS certified, and they have a local team handling their business in South Asia. Additionally, they have been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) since 2012.
They choose partners for sustainable transport and storage, opting for sea shipment to minimise the carbon footprint of transporting their products to Europe. Additionally, they partner with GOTS certified warehouse providers to store their products.
They team up with a dedicated distribution network where their network of Official Dealers shares their vision and values. Moreover, they encourage and support them in achieving GOTS certification.
Certifications
At Stanley/Stella, the company has always utilised organic cotton, recognising the importance of sustainability and responsible sourcing. While their products are GOTS certified and GMOs are excluded from organic systems, they understand that organic certification does not guarantee absolute freedom from contamination or the presence of GMOs in their products. In light of this, Stanley/Stella takes additional measures to enhance traceability throughout their entire value chain.
To ensure the highest quality standards and maintain transparency, the company limits the number of suppliers they work with and establishes strong relationships with farmers and ginners. They also distinguish themselves by conducting their own random testing, a commitment that sets them apart from many other companies in the industry. These actions are taken to uphold the promises made to their valued customers and to uphold their own ethical standards.
Stanley/Stella proudly adheres to the requirements of various certifications, including GOTS, OCS, GRS, and OEKO-TEX, demonstrating their dedication to producing environmentally-friendly and socially responsible products. However, it's important to note that the company cannot be held liable for content deviation issues, such as GMO contamination, that may occur beyond their reasonable control. Nonetheless, they strive to maintain the highest level of product integrity and safety.
